Our History

Headquartered in Sheffield, UK, Carbonomics is a family-owned business that was established in 1999 by a small team with many years of experience in knife production. The company initially serviced the UK end-user market of the food processing industry, supplying high-quality formed cutting knives (tray knives) and also offering a regrind service of these products.

By providing the excellent rapid service that is required in this market, Carbonomics soon became a leading manufacturer of machine knives for UK industry. Our continued success has allowed us to expand into other industries where machine knives are used, not only for end-users in the UK but also an ever-growing number of companies worldwide.

Our product range has also expanded to include a tremendous variety of machine knives of all types, including straight knives, both plain and serrated, circular knives, and numerous knives designed for specific applications which can take all sorts of shapes.

In 2016, Carbonomics America opened its first U.S. office in Gilroy, California, to provide sales and service support to North American food processing companies.
